Frequently Asked Questions

What is Funds For Child Poverty?

Funds For Child Poverty is a youth-led nonprofit organization founded in 2023 by Vivian and Cindy Wan. Our mission is to support disadvantaged children worldwide through education, nutrition, and essential resources. Our current projects are focused in rural Nepal, with plans to expand to other underserved communities globally.

How can I donate?

You can donate directly through our website or reach out to us via our Contact page. We accept various forms of payment. Every dollar goes directly to supporting children’s education and well-being.

Where does my donation go?

100% of donations are directed to our partner organizations working with children on the ground. Currently, funds support education centers and schools in rural Nepal — covering school supplies, nutrition programs, learning materials, uniforms, and classroom infrastructure. We maintain full transparency and can provide updates on how your contribution is being used.

How much have you raised so far?

Since our founding in 2023, we have raised over $32,000 directed to children in need. Our goal is to continue growing our impact and reach more communities around the world.

Why Nepal?

Nepal is where we started because of the urgent need — many rural families cannot afford basic school supplies or meals for their children. We have built strong partnerships with local education centers and schools there. However, our mission is not limited to one country. As we grow, we plan to expand to other regions where children face similar barriers to education.

How can I volunteer or get involved?

We welcome volunteers who want to help with fundraising, social media outreach, event planning, or spreading awareness. Please reach out through our Contact page and we will get back to you.

Can I organize a fundraiser in my school or community?

Absolutely! We encourage students and community members to organize their own fundraising events on behalf of Funds For Child Poverty. Contact us and we can provide materials and guidance to help you get started.
